about
Recently I wrote a song about our reaction (as a country) to 9/11. It's not a political statement, but a comment on how I think that we could best serve the world to take what ever little steps we can as a people to prevent something like that from ever happening again.
I recorded this song with my amazing friend Jake Phillips at my home. I debated very much about releasing it today of all days, but I feel like this song is needed more today than any other time.
lyrics
I've got reason in my rhythm and a fire in my heart to light the way.
To the people I have left behind I'm sorry but I could not stay.
There are enemies among us, hiding here inside our golden gate.
But I must embrace the Judas, he's my brother till he goes astray.
We are rising on rays of hope, cause it's a long way to heaven.
