Red Shoes 02:58
Liz is shopping for some red shoes something new and something bright. She says she feels a bit upside down right now she feels a bit uptight she says “ It’s hard when your pent-up to just let go, and when you do let go it’s hard to stop. You’ve got to find a balance between the two. That’s what I’m looking for in my new red shoes. That’s what I’m looking for something completely new.” She says it’s not all fun and games in this world of mine I’m an iceberg breaking off one piece at a time but it’s really not that bad when I start to shine and I’m amazed at what a little color can do. Well them blue suedes have stayed on a bit too long it’s time to wake up the night and shake hands with the dawn she is tired of lacing up just to be brought down so she’s looking for her answers down in old Georgetown she’ll spend some green green dollars on something to make her shine she’ll pick the light up from the ground up from her feet to her mind She says it’s not all fun and games in this world of mine I’m an iceberg breaking off one piece at a time but it’s really not that bad when I start to shine and I’m amazed at what a little color can do. But if you see her floating down M street don’t you bring her down you won’t miss those new shoes sticking out amongst the black and the brown ones on the ground they’ll be the brightest ones around. She’ll be the brightest one around. She says it’s not all fun and games in this world of mine I’m an iceberg breaking off one piece at a time but it’s really not that bad when I start to shine and I’m amazed at what a little color can do. You’d be amazed at what a little color can do.

Comfort Me 03:54
I’m an open book I’m a long walk down the hall Full of unlocked doors and some memories I can’t recall But I wanna be smooth, detached by a winning smile I need to learn keep myself to myself for a while because It would comfort me I need to be strong Stronger arms to hold on, stronger shoulders to lean onto I wanna be larger than life, so that life might be afraid To raise its head and show me the mistakes I’ve me It would comfort me

Fall Guy 03:42
It was late last evening when my wheels started turning and the fire was burning down to coals. And I was drinking when I shoulda been sleeping and I shouldn’t have been thinking alone. And I thought… You’re the winter and I’m a fall guy And you make me so angry when you’re so wrong and I’m right where I need to be For you this is not a need and I know Now I’m wondering should I tell you or keep it to myself, and hope the feeling is fleeting and it melts like the winter snow. I can see that you’re sleeping and you don’t know I’m leaving but I want you to know… You’re the winter and I’m a fall guy And you make me so angry when you’re so wrong and I’m right where I need to be For you this is not a need and I know But to break this addiction, well I’ve gotta run on. And to leave you here lonely, well I know it’s wrong And I’d tell you I’m sorry, but I’m already gone. And I think… You’re the winter and I’m a fall guy And you make me so angry when you’re so wrong and I’m right where I need to be For you this is not a need and I know

Crown Me 03:49
Here’s to Billy, he sits in his own chair He looks at his family and he looks like his siblings It’s late in the evening and everybody’s walking home But Billy just rolls along, cause that’s the way he moves He couldn’t get up now, even if he wanted too He sits in his own chair and he sets his mind loose Looks at his mother, says “It’s easy to see me if you open your eyes and…” Crown me, Crown me, Crown me Crown me king for a day Crown me, Crown me, Crown me Crown me king and I’ll fly away They say he’s a dreamer cause he’s not much of a runner Well it’s a back handed complement, but he gets it all too well And he doesn’t mind when his mind starts to wander off To brighter places on a million pages, he’s read them all And he sets his mind down on pen and paper Says that’s his release it’s how he sets his dreams free Looks at his father and says “It’s easy to believe me when you open your eyes and… Crown me, Crown me, Crown me Crown me king for a day Crown me, Crown me, Crown me Crown me king and I’ll fly away Now his name’s on the covers next to written by They all knew he’s be an author but they didn’t know That the boy would lay it down ‘till the day he died He looks at the world says “It’s easy to get me when you open your eyes and… Crown me, Crown me, Crown me Crown me king for a day Crown me, Crown me, Crown me Crown me king and I’ll fly away

Stay 04:33
She’s a very special girl with her own way She’s your lover and your child on the same day She speaks in all the beautiful colors, but she sees in grays And it’s too easy to dismiss her, so you just stay And she says la-de-da She says that you’re a very special boy, and you make her smile And when you hold her in your arms, she wants to stay a little while But she passes off your loving eyes as juvenile And when you talk about the future, she falls back on denial And she says la-de-da So now you’re trying to impress her, she walks away Says it’s the moments when you’re quiet that make her want to play So you ask her for forever in some old fashioned way And it’s the answer she lays on you that makes you want to stay I want to stay with you.

Millionaire 03:57
You said I was lazy, don’t work too hard I said you’re crazy, because work’s a sucker’s job And I could be a millionaire if I had that golden card I’d buy myself a big old house and a fancy car And you would be so jealous then, you’d ask me for a ride But I’d just drive on and never say good-bye Some people are born into a pot of gold I was born dreaming, you were born old And my dreams just get brighter with every passing day And you’ll keep getting older, until you pass away But I could be a millionaire if I had that golden card I’d buy myself a big old house and a fancy car And you would be so jealous then, you’d ask me for a ride But I’d just drive on, and never say good-bye

The sun come down on a lazy day, it makes me wanna sing But I ain’t singing for you and I ain’t singing for them .I’m singing for me The moon comes down on a lonely night, it’s crazy beams make me wanna scream But I ain’t screaming at you and I ain’t screaming at them. I’m screaming at me Because I have seen the darker side of green The grass grows thick inside my lungs and makes it hard to breath But I’m done breathing for you and I’m done breathing for them. I can only breath for me The veil came down and blinded my eyes and it made it hard to see But I’m done looking for you and I’m done looking for them. I’m looking for me Because I have seen the darker side of green The wind comes swiftly through my hair and it sweeps away my dreams But I’m done dreaming of you and I’m done dreaming of them. I can only dream of me The light comes down and blinds your eyes and makes it hard to believe And I can’t believe in you and I can’t believe in them but baby you can believe in me Because I have seen the darker side of green

Lion 04:34
I live high, just like the birds. I stay cool as the cool breeze blows. You remind me of the grass, as you sway I see always. So we swing, don’t fall too fast. Watch the waves of summer pass. Just relax cause we don’t control what we find takes us up again. It’s like the Lion to the Dave I will lay you down like the day. Like the sand to the wave Cut me loose and I’ll float away. You just run till you’re out of breath. Just a few steps around again. As I view you from up above I look up so I don’t get lost. Can we fly, while we’re holding hands? Will it be like this in the end? Sink or swim, will we have to choose? I don’t mind win or lose. It’s like the Lion to the Dave I will lay you down like the day. Like the sand to the wave Cut me loose and I’ll float away. She says “I’m high like a bird up in the stars. I get high and can’t get my point across. I’m high with my feet on the ground, I get high when you’re around.” It’s like the Lion to the Dave I will lay you down like the day. Like the sand to the wave Cut me loose and I’ll float away.

It’s not the light’s fault, but just the same I’d rather it was gone. We make great friends in the daytime, we can make great love before dawn. If we get the chance, and if my friends have left us, leaving you and I alone To do what we do best, then I know that you know. Sinning is easier without light, cause when it’s dark no one can see You and I beneath a street light, and I’ve got you on top of me. I called you up Tuesday and you said, “Keep it to yourself, I’ll see you on Friday and by Saturday you won’t see nobody else.” We’ll go down on South Street and walk along with the freaks and the queens. Soon as the night falls we’ll head home to replay some dreams. But why can’t it be easy to say good-bye You know I’ll be back again We wish for a moment to stop time So the night won’t ever end I never shoulda let you go Sinning is easier without light, cause when it’s dark no one can see You and I beneath a street light, and I’ve got you on top of me And I know I’m never gonna let you go.

I'll Wait 03:36
I’ll wait I’m waiting on a dream My head is full of clouds of steam Too much, too much time I should go I guess I should get out of old haunts I’m tired of hanging round for too much, for too much time But if you need me I will be around But the same old scenery, it’s kind of got me down. When and where Never mind the price I saved a little piece of pie so we’ll have So we’ll have time And I’ll go if I could have you by my side I’ll be yours and you could just be mine for a long For a long long time But I’ll just wait here, and I’ll let you decide It’s not too late for you to change my mind. Yeah I’ll just wait here, and I’ll let you decide It’s not too late for you to change my mind.
